@Hammers  Thanks. That's a nice collection you've got.  I'll keep an eye out for them when I get a chance to pick some up.

Wow, an ambitious project. Looks like it's going to be a great piece.

Cutting all those little square holes... Ouch! If it was me I would have settled for round posts.  :?
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Or square posts with rounded off bottoms to fit in round holes.... ;)

Main floor planking and exterior walls done! Cutting all those planks is a chore. Thankfully had some shows to watch in the background. Usually I just scribe the floor planks on the hardboard using a nail. Hard to see but I added a floor hatch in the back left corner.

Cut the second floor out and built the stairs going up.

Any suggestions for a pulp era jungle trader/ bar keep figure?

Cheers and thanks

Marc

Excellent idea but I will wait until after lunch to have that scotch and cigar. ;)  Was thinking of modelling one of those tropical wicker chairs with a matching side table but haven't figured how to model it yet.

This is looking great so far, Braz!

I had better say now that I will be thoroughly stealing this idea in the future and had better give you credit now.
If I dont do it now, I may well forget who gave me the idea in the first place.
 ;)

Thank you, sir!

Don't forget at least one of those floor boards has to squeak when walked over and preferably one in front of the door. To both annoy and alarm the residents that the bad guy has arrived one night.  ;)

There are a half dozen I'd suggest from Copplestone's Back of Beyond range, check out the Adventurers packs.

From Artizan, "Remy" would be a good one, and maybe "Dr Glockenspiel" as well.

It is great to see this project coming together so nicely. Keep it up!  :D

Have Fun

Thanks all.
@Prof Dinglebat. Been trying to do that but the miniatures don't weigh enough to get a convincing squeak. Will just have to treat it as a peril... not to mention the broken step and that loose shingle trap vs ninjas.
@Mason Thanks.  Steal away as that's why I'm posting. Looking forward to see your take on it.
@Dave Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, I vaguely remember Remy. Will look at those when I have proper access later.
@ Mad Mike. Très Jolie! Would be interested in those at the right scale. I would have another project in mind for those though. PM me to arrange something. En français si tu veux.

Latest update. Top floor walls in progress and most roof struts in place.

Nothing exciting today. Top floor planks, walls and trim done. Cereal card support for the shingling done.

Detailing will be soon which is the most fun.

It smacks of future shady deals and double crossing shenanigans in that top room when she's finally finished and gets to be used in games.  lol
