Members of the Tong (another lot done)
« on: August 24, 2013, 11:11:47 AM »
I've had these little chaps on my table for the past two months (2 years for the Malifaux figure). I've have very limited time for modelling of late - just a half hour here and there - so these have taken a long while to get together.

They are a mix of the INHM box, some Pulp Figures that I picked up off a second hand table and Malifaux. I still have about half a dozen to go in various stages of completion. They'll be good for IHMN and Pulp Alley and 7TV. Great value!

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Colours are good, I really like the way the Malifaux bird compliments the IHMN set guy

Definitely a different take than I've seen on the makeup before.

I got it into my head that the white face was more a Japanese thing, though.

Nice work.  I particularly like Fu Manchu in blue and the bare chested halberdier.

I honestly have no idea. I just thought that it might look good.

Vox populi, vox dei.

I'm to be run out of town as scoundrel and narrow-minded jade!  lol

All quite stunning and unique. AND probably necessary to include Misaki(?).

Well done!

Doug (Well, Misaki sounds Japanese...)  :D

You could probably get away with them as a force in Dead Man's Hand too  if you really want to push it. I'd not thought of Malifaux models for this, but great choice of models and colours!

Well, Misaki sounds Japanese...

Misaki (みさき, ミサキ) is a popular feminine Japanese given name which can also be used as a surname.

I worked with not one, but two Misaki's during one of my sojourns in Nippon.

Haven't you heard? They are kindlier, gentler now. It's Nihon.  lol

I've really not looked hard at Malifaux figures up to now, I'm going to have to check into that model.

Very good looking Tong group you have going, I like the mix of colors.
