Ah Deathwing loved that story.  I am generally well inclined to all members of the weasel family.

It comes of being a vole.

As a result of my weasel obsession - number of weasel themed cocktails were born.

They were -

The Fierce Weasel

Two shots rum, one shot slivovitz, shake over ice. Pour into a Tom Collins glass, add a dash of cranberry and top up with orange juice to taste.

The result is a sweet cocktail with a kick and burny aftertaste.

The Dark Weasel ("The Diesel")

Substitute dark rum.

The Frozen Weasel ("The Freezle")

Add contents of Fierce Weasel to mixer with ice. Crush ice.

Serve with a sprig of mint.

Otherworld's giant weasels would make any marine soil his power armour:

They certainly would!  The weasel supplied in the Reaper Familiars pack is tiny.  check it out:

(the weasel is the small white thing on the assassins base)

Definitely more of a nuisance than a grave threat lol

I read a story once where a young man was left to the tender mercies of a weasel like carnivore that could eat a hole in a cow from udders to throat in less than 6 seconds and moved like a track star on speed, on the good side it became slower the more it consumed and he drowned it before it could finish his pelvic region off, got stuck on the bone as i recall. so not much in the Armour piercing category, but much to be said for it's speed, initiative and damage (or number of attacks) capabilities. Also only appeared in small family units, territorial i guess.

anyway that is what comes to mind when i think of a death weasel or a giant shrew on p.c.p.(i see either as small).

P.S. if this story sounds familiar to anyone drop me a line with the title so i can read the book again, thanks.

A were weasel... seriously?
Vampiric Hedgehog anybody?
Zombie Doormice?
Ghost stoat?

Although given my location, perhaps a zombie Badger would give the men from the ministry a run for their money....

Splintered Light does 18mm weasels

I quite like those, plus they are Bob Olley sculpts, which adds an extra bit of RT flavour.  Its also cheaper to order a pack of six of those from the US for delivery to Ireland than it is to order three of the Otherworld models from the UK  :o

Funnily enough the Splintered Light 15mm Dire Hyenas somehow look more like what I think a vicious space Death Ferret might look like (particularly if the models were painted in an absurd/exotic colour scheme):

Those dire Hyenas are pretty sweet for a Death Ferret Proxy I think.

"It is possible that the Death Ferrets are mentioned somewhere else in the RT book, but I dont think so.  I devoured that book as a boy and had a pretty encycopaedic knowledge of it for a few years (although much of that faded as I got older).  I could be wrong, but I dont think that Death Ferrets get a mention"

He is not kidding about devouring that book, it is partly the reason we pwnd the GT Pub Quiz in erm 200?...well I cant remember which year it was now, there was a lot of drink involved.  Come to think of it the English lads all buggered off early leaving Bugmans staff to try to tactfully eject us Irish and Germans, good times. :)

I own the old 1986-1991 Citadel Catalogue and can categorically state that it's not in there.  Not even amongst the Chaos familiars or Undead oddities!  That leaves the faint possibility of it being Marauder or A.N. Other, but not sure.  The monkey thing in the middle immediately made me think 'Jokaero'!

Yes, it came in a blister of Jokaero, Death Ferret and Gyrinx. We know it is a Rogue Trader release, we are trying to find some fluff or text about the critter  ;)

The Gyrinx and Jokaero are featured in the RT book while the Death Ferret is not.
