I'm with everyone else this one is really too close to call!  I really wish I could paint half as well as either of the two!

I agree: In a standoff, the new one gets my vote every time.

Likewise; I voted for the awesome detectives last time they played, so happily I was free to vote for the equally awesome artic explorers this time!

I agree on both counts.  Although both entries are fantastic, I'm going with the new entry in this case...its more of a cop-out than a coin toss (which I have had to use far to much this season)

wow! This is the first time I have time to take a look at this thread and I'm amazed by the positive feedback. Thanks guys! :)

My vote goes to the detectives, because my figures aren't actually that good IRL ;)
I was there the day that Horus fell.

It was really tough choice.  The only determining factor for me was the bases.  The ARtic Expedition bases looked more realistic to me.  Otherwise, it was tie, I really couldn't decide which was the better.

Although I voted the first day it appeared on this forum, still is a difficult task to conclude which is best.

Both are exceptionally marvellous.

Do we have an official tie, then??

They deserve it!

The Palace scarf is a triumph.
And Miss Marbles tartan scarf remains a triumph - all of which just goes to show I'm a sucker for stripes and checks.  ;)
But beautifully executed paintwork all round. Real artistic skills on show in both these entries.
