Hey I finally managed to write a battle report for the massive 4000 point No Limits game we played back in July.  This was for our Station 42 War campaign.  We still have several battles planned after this one and hopefully another even larger final battle which we hope to finish by the end of the year.  Check out the report on my blog here: http://ironworkersminiatures.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-battle-of-station-42-4000-point-no.html
This report is unfortunately not a play by play because it has been so long since we played it but we do have a large gallery of images from the battle you can see here:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/43472766@N05/sets/72157635736492234/

Looks like alot of fun. I also had a good time trying to identify the various toys and kits you appropriated for gaming.  Really nice work.

I LOVE your colony world buildings!  I can see how you made them, but they still look just right!

There's a great thread - click here - where Ironworker takes us through some of the stages. They really are great, aren't they?

And, gives hope to those whose projects languish for years-to-decades.  ;)

I wish I could say I didn't have more than a few projects that have languished for years and years.

But even if you can say that, you can also say, 'hey! I've got an awesome Space Colony that's actually built of old bits of crap!'

That's the important bit  ;)

I love this project so much. So many great ideas to choose from.
The elevated buildings are such an inspired idea. I think I know the next modification I'll make to my Aliens colony terrain. Thank you in advance.

Thanks!  We are actually hoping to enter another building phase on this project in particular.  We are going to hopefully add some roads and a few more buildings and some landing pads as well.  Some of the buildings might get moved a bit but they are designed to look temporary and movable.  We're trying to not only make more room for new stuff but also come up with a better layout.

We are also hoping to do a couple more projects like the farm:

We've got a generic research base planned that will hopefully have more elaborate buildings of a similar design.  We've learned a lot from these projects about what works and looks best.

We've also got Pleasant Valley to finish up.  It's actually farther along than this.  We mostly only have painting left.

We almost have he Pleasant Valley set done.  Just one building left to paint and a few odds and ends to wrap up.  We will probably have a decent sized game set on that table soon.  :)

Excellent news. I may have mentioned before (oh only a couple of times  ::) ) that i find your work inspiring. Inspiring as in, it makes me happy to look at and gives me ideas of what I might do with the piles of junk I have. Inspiring as in, prompts me to go into the loft and actually do something? Not so much...
