Thanks.

I just finished a new unit of mounted crossbowmen.
The miniatures are from Fireforge games.
I used some of their less armoured infantry arms to get a less armoured feeling then someone riding around with the same equipment as a fully armed knight... And I tossed in some round shields just for the sake of it.  :D

By basing some of them individual I can without a problem use them in Lion Rampant besides Hail Caesar that is the main idea.

That's a great looking force, and you've built it really quickly (by my snail-like standards anyway)  :)
Well done!

Thanks Captain.

The speed is all in about cutting corners, trying to skip details that wont be seen on the table. A closer look will show where I have skipped details. I have tried to only use a little more detailing on things that are easily noticed, things like shields or highlighting a face or a hand. And using inks or shades to speed things up.

Its a hard thing to balance the level on detail with the time it takes to paint it. On what level you whant to achieve.

The bonus is an army in a relative short time but the negative things is that no one of them can stand up to a close inspection.

Its a technique I have tried to improve for some time now as I have notet I will never have time to paint all the miniatures of all the settings and games I take a fancy at...  :D

Oh now you've all gone and done it! I'm tempted to do this in 40mm. I must be nuts... or a wargamer! I watched Arn today, very inspiring stuff!

Last week I visited Stockholm and managed to play a game with Michael "Dalauppror" and some of his club members.

We used the Lion Rampant rules and the theme was set for a game of "Håtuna leken" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%A5tuna_games) a time on conflict here in Sweden arount the year of 1300 with power strugle for the crown of three brothers.

I was invited to join in on their campaign representing the Danish house of Hvide and was invited to a wedding fiest.
In the last game they played the kings brother Valdemar had been bride robbing and intended to marry the lady him self, a furries King had sent nobles from the house of Ulvåsa and Oxenstierna to crash the wedding.

Here is the link for the AAR: http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2015/01/the-wedding-crash-hatunaleken-aar.html

Some of you might allready have seen Michaels AAR here on LAF so this is from the angle of the Danes.
