Lledo Days Gone cars 28mm compatible?
« on: October 04, 2013, 08:04:54 PM »
I've seen several model cars at ebay for a very reasoneable price, but ussually don't have any ruler or size description to know it's dimentions.

Does anyone knows if the Lledo Days Gone cars are 28mm compatible?

Thank you.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Yes they are. I think they are a better fit than the Matchbox Models of Yeateryear range, but that is just my opinion.

I would say that some, but not all are. As far as I understand tey vary from 1/60 to 1/43. The Crossley truck is though a perfect model sizewise

To answer your question, opinions vary.
I think some of the cars yes, some of the large trucks no.
Take a look at my post on the lledo 1939 pick up truck, car sized, which I think works well. I can take some pics of the larger trucks which I think are too small if you like.

It seems the lledo stuff is like the matchbox yesteryear line in that they are sized to fit the box. Ergo large trucks tend to be too small and tiny cars end up being too big for 28mm in my opinion. Someone posted a link with vehicle scales somewhere here on LAF. I'm posting from my phone or else I would dig up the link.

My suggestion would be to look on here for pics of other folks vehicles and see which ones you like, then hunt for those.

Good luck.

I picked this Matchbox Models of Yesteryear(#10)  1908 Mercedes up recently. The box gives the scale as 1:54 - close to perfect IMHO

Thank you very much for your quick answers.

I'll check S&H to my country, and hopefully I'll get some model cars soon.

Best wishes.

As others have intimated, its rather like beauty, in that its in the eye of the beholder I think. On my old website you can see pictures in the Mean Streets gallery of both makes of vehicle with Pulp Miniatures figures, which may help you decide what to buy.
