« on: October 03, 2013, 07:58:02 PM »
A lighthearted Bolt Action game set around the fictional world of Blandings Castle...

Where pigs Dare...

And creatures of the Dark lurk...
A full AAR for those not of a nervous disposition over on the blog ~

This would work well as a hambush scenario, then daddy could bring home the bacon.

We had great fun during the game, which you can only attribute to like minded folk getting together to enjoy their hobby and friendship free of the constraints of those sad types who can't face up to the reality that we play games with toy soldiers and enjoy it...

And in those few words we have the best wargaming philosophy I can think of. Bravo for Blandings. An excellent report on what looked like a huge amount of fun.
They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We will be victorious!!

Thanks for that! Much appreciated after some recent unpleasantness on another place. Sometimes I just feel that folk have lost sight of the simple fact that hobbies are meant to be fun.

David you are welcome, I always look forward to reports from GHQ whatever the period or game, either here or on WD3. Are there other forums? But that ethos is so close to my own as to be the same. I can't abide all the claptrap some people want to add to what is after all a hobby, and as you say Hobbies are supposed to be fun, and It's only toy soldiers after all. I have no problem with that at all. Bravo to you, Phil and all the gang.
