I found my trusty and nicely arranged box of goodness and sorted the stuff. So far I've looked at Future War Commander for rules (which is almost an amalgation of Epic and Warmaster... Warmaster for certainly).

In total there should be enough for plenty of varition with camelry, infantry, Turkish allies and guns!

The bugs will be less flavoured but I'm considering adding some flying insects and spider cavalry. Maybe. Will definitely still have to source some 'plasma bugs' too.

I think the main reason for not branching out too much with the bugs is that the look of a real bug army should be just a sea of one type of warrior bug. Mass in numbers, not highly specialised units with loads of different weapons.

Anyway I've still got plenty of halloween ants.  lol

And so the slightly painful but necessary debasing has begun. If anyone has a really good suggestion as to how this could be done in a way that is easy and salvages both the figures and the bases, please do speak up!

Of course my Baron!  :D

They are great. I think I will have to get some Prussians too at some point to stop this project from ever finishing.

So I rebased the first few bugs... and now I'm patiently waiting for my Warbases order to arrive so I can continue.

I managed to rebase enough British for 10 bases too but they're still awaiting paint.

The bugs need some grenery too but I'll sort that later.

So rebasing of the British is nearly finished.

I made these new sub commanders:

And then these:

I'll drink to anyone who can correctly guess the exact nature of what goes on these.  :D

I need to add a flattened bug to one of the tracks too.

The bugs are nice, but the troops are brilliant.  8) 8) 8)
The empty bases: heavy artillery?

You Danish Git!!  :D  Those Brits look awesome, I so wish I could paint 6mm like that.

Are we going to see some big walkers (I envisage them like the ones in Wicky Wicky Wahh Wahh ((Wild Wild West)) squishing the bugs in those tracks?
