NICE JOB on the board! It has a West Texas look to it...The Hill Country & East Texas are different Beasties entirely.

Just seen this Paul - Fab Start to the project..

ummm...should I go west after Shedwood?

Cheers, Giles!
Mate, as for where to go next: I am not sure that you wont need a new Shed soon, the rate that you are going, whichever direction.

In fact, sod that: You will need a BARN!

Thanks, chaps, but I think it will end up looking slightly different as I have had to add more 'stuff; to it as that was not enough.
Who knows what it will look like when it is done, as I cannot guess.

Fingers crossed again!

Eric the Barn just doesn't sound right. Eric the Portacabin? Nope.

You're really pushing me down the line of moving on with my own Old West project.

Wow Paul, as I read your post I was expecting the whole board to break into pieces, seems lady luck was shining on you that day. I hope she isn't a cruel mistress and ruin all your careful re-basing efforts.

Cheers
Matt.

Well, when will we get to see Elkvillle then....?
 :D

Nice.  :D

Thanks, Ray.
It just so happens that I am waiting too, as I am now at work and wont see how it has 'dried out' until I get home in the morning..... ::)

 lol
It was more unnerving as my better half kept freaking out whenever the board made another cracking noise.
I am sure it will work out ok, even if I have to attack it with a few washes.

My town and the local area is all planned out on paper. The main town is Hopkirk's Crossing with a smaller settlement called Hospitality nearby. The other main locations are the Salvation Silvermine, Boss McQuarrie's Ranch, Randall's Ranch and Ruin's Road (an outlaw den). There are a few incidental areas mapped out too. I only have about 20% of the buildings I want though. I'm experimenting with textured wallpaper over mdf tiles for terrain, which allows me to tie in my existing grass and river tiles. I'm hoping to pick up some mine cart stuff from Andy at Ainsty next weekend at Smoggycon. I will never make the sort of progress you do though!

Looking forward to seeing it, Steve.
It seems you have some pretty serious plans there.
 8)

Right then, the board is finished and I am pretty happy with it.
Piccies when I get a chance.

Next up I am going to have a crack at 'pimping up' another of Bobble's lovely builds, the Undertakers...

A lovely construction that I have based on an MDF board and put the 'sidewalk' in place.
Tomorrow should see some painting progress.

oooh! Nice one Paul. No coffins or head stones out the back? ;)

Having based this on a fairly small board I have limited myself a little regarding filling it with characterful items.
Now that you have gotten the little grey cells ticking over, the Undertaker's premises in Upsheet Creek needs to be bigger.
A lot bigger!

As I intend to add a hearse to the premises as well, I need to make something much more substantial.

Therefore, this building will be used as something else.

As it has fairly large doors (to accommodate people carrying a coffin, I assume) I will have to bear that in mind.

I was thinking something along the lines of a hardware store or mining supplies etc, where larger items of equipment may be sold.

Any ideas, chaps?
