You could remake the fourth battle of Kawanajima and a focus on the duel between Kenshin and Shingen.

Well, sorry for "derailing" the thread.

Its cool. As long as the main post gets properly updated I am sure it won't matter too much.

But yeah I am making my force to use in Kings of War. So historical accuracy isn't my main concern.

Hello there,
Just thought I'd drop in and add to the commentary.  Horses in Japan before Westerners flooded in were really ponies.  They should be small.  Take a look at Mongol mounts.  They're small and kind of ugly.  Koreran mounts are even smaller from this period.

Kingsford Miniatures has an extensive range of Sengoku-Jidai period figures.  Shown is only one picture from about 7 years ago.  Here are some the latest WIP http://www.kingsfordminiatures.org/WIP.html .  Here is a gallery of both pro and customer painted figures http://www.kingsfordminiatures.org/Gallery.html

Kingsford Miniatures is Canadian based.  We are also very small.  We really have no economies of scale and so I have to price higher (compared to UK mfrs) to cover costs.  Hopefully, you'll find the quality and accuracy of the figures superior to what you have experienced.  When I convert a cavalry figure today from CAD to GBP today it comes out to 5.02, I'm sure tomorrow it will be different.  I am always thinking of how to keep costs down.

You can view unsolicited comments from satisfied customers on the testimonial page at http://www.kingsfordminiatures.org/testimonial.html

Guy Bowers the editor of Wargames Soldiers and Strategies uses our figures in his demo games.

Respectfully,

David

Firstly thanks for the commentary. Its great to hear from the people actually making these miniatures.

I agree that the horses should be small more like ponies than western warhorses. I realise that I wrote that the horses were appropriately small on the WGF miniatures but not on the Kingsford ones so I will be sure to add that.

I just picked a random picture that I liked from the store (I have a softspot for horseback archers). If you post up the picture you feel best represents the range I will be sure to replace it.

I have no personal experience with Kingsford miniatures myself, I like them a lot from what I have seen on the website though, something I think I may have expressed to you via email a little while ago. I have had experience talking to you via email though so can certainly give a 1up for customer service.

Finally it seems like despite typing CAD into google I actually converted from US dollars when I made this thread. I will correct the prices accordingly.

I can vouch for the niceness of the Kingsford figures, currently being engaged in painting some up.  When I was choosing what range I would go with, I looked round at quite a few makers, and was very fussy.
