Short Round FINISHED
« on: November 26, 2013, 08:13:29 PM »
Have begun painting Indy's little helper:

Pulp Figures mini.
Skin and shirt finished, trousers basecoated.

Can anyone help me with the colour of his shoes and belt (I do have Temple of Doom, but not much time to watch it)?

I think his shoes were a dirty white/tan color in the movie.

I don't remember Short Round wearing a belt, I think it was more of a draw-string sewn in the pants. Although he may also have worn pant suspenders under his shirt.

White sneakers with dirt on them, it seems.

Not quite as sculpted, but a little paint should do it  lol

Thanks - I'll just give him a raw leather brown belt to blend in with the shirt, then.

This looks really good, Argonor. A finished photo when you're ready?  ;D

Of course, and thanks!  :)

I've been buisy siphoning my first brew of mead into another container for settling/clearing today, but I'll continue painting in a few minutes, actually  :)

A bit of progress:

Trousers finished, shoes basecoated (GW Ushabti Bone - I hope to make a non-greyish white from it...)

Depending on the weather, I may get more done tomorrow (I have some storm-felled trees I have to cut up if we can get a few dry hours...)

Finally finished:

I didn't get the pinstripes on the cap right, should have been far more, and not evenly from the center. I also made an attempt at the Giants logo at the front, but failed, and gave it up (yes, I know Shorty is a Yankees fan, but his cap sports the Giants logo). I may go back to it at some point, but now i have to do something else...
