Thanks chaps  :)

Made a start on the first terrain peice  :D

Several bases of chopped down trees, they don't look like much for the moment but when the growies are on and they are painted I hope they'll be ok.

Just normal balsa dowel with a texture scored on them. The figure is one of my Karstarks from GoT.

Sure, it does, James, and I've posted there a few days ago :) Just never realized consciously what that GoT abbreviation means :)

I'm leaving out the standard and bucina as these are for a lowly mile castle (number 39 I think) so its just an hofficer and an optio.

Would that be Centurion Sebasticus Softlove and his loyal Optio Wuffbwoot?

First bit of terrain is done  :)

They are actually quite generic but were built for this project specifically.

That's Centurion Sebasticus for scale.

Going to have a look at the mile castle size and wall bits in the next week or so  :)

cheers

Looks really good. I am about to make something similar but went for single basing though.

That must have been a tall lumberjack though.  ;)

Thanks fellas  :)

Made a sort of proper start on the main terrain but it's only the base for now  lol

The black lines are the outlines of the mile castle and adjoining wall and I think I've got a good idea to do the wall but I'll need to do a sample before divulging any further.

The size is based on real ones at a scale of 1:50. At the moment it seems a little large so I'll rough it out with some card first to get a feel for the mass.

More to follow soon hopefully  :)

cheers

James
