Lee - That looks really cool.  Were you using the rules that come with the ships or some other rules?

We used the rules from the game but added a wind eliment to it. Thats what the sheet is at the top on the first pic.

Basicly a compass with a moving arrow, every 2nd go you spin the wind direction.

If you sail into wind - S to your move if you sail with wind behind you + S to your mov, if wind side on no difference.

It's amazing how a simple little rule can cause unforseen problems!!

The setup looks great - and at that distance the card models actually look very realistic. Awesome!  :)

Lee, how did you do the sea?

Is it a painted textured surface or a printed sheet?

It looks fantastic!

The sea is thanks to one of the guys down at club I run Aftermath gaming club, by the way there are more pics on there as well.

Basicly he went onto a website a took a photograph of the sea that he liked, once he had the image he copied it and pasted it next to each other to cover the size of the board he wanted.

Once that was done he shoved it on a disk and took it to a photo copier place and had it printed out and laminated.

Probably cost about a fiver or so, but the result as you say looks very realistic and adds great depth to the game. :)

Thanks very much. That seems easy enough even for me to do  lol

I might try that printing trick myself - that's very clever!

Thanks for sharing!
