Zombicide Figures - Survivors, Zombivors and Zombies
« on: December 05, 2013, 10:37:20 PM »
Hi,

after I missed the first Zombicide Kickstarter, I had to take part at the second run.
So in the end I spend way too much money, but the game is brilliant.

But as you know, playing with unpainted figures is only half the fun, so here are my first painted Zombicide figures:

First 2 times the standard zombies in different colors:

Wanda the roller skating chain saw zombie slizer:

Goth Amy with her sword:

Doug, the office man:

Phil, the cop:

Brad, who wants to make our day:

And an old sensei with too much flesh on his chest...

All these survivors and zombivors are missing a nice base and some blood.
Wanda is an example of how the final look will be...

If you want to see more pictures from these figures just have a look into my blog.

Cheers
Thomas

I'm not sure if you have any interest, but I'm going to put my S1 KS Exclusives, brand new in the boxes and cards for sale.  I want kinda silly money, but I'm open to offers.

Hmmm, interesting...

Which would that be?
Nick?
El Cholo?
Dave?
any other?
Including Zombivor-Variants (if they were available these days)?

Shipping would be from Netherlands (to Germany)?

The set is for Dave, El Cholo, Nick, Eagle Chaz, Troy, Cardboard Tube Samurai, and their Zombivore versions with the cards, etc.

Yes, shipping from Amsterdam, so minimal to Germany :)

Two additional character figures are (nearly) ready.

The main paintjob is done, but they are still missing their final Base.

I have ordered inverted 25mm Round Bases which should work together with the Basing set from Wargames Bakery (from there recent Kickstarter project: Bake Your Own Basius - Basing Pads for Wargames Miniatures).

So here the pictures of Crazy Ned (the figure has a casting error on the rifle, but that's OK for a gaming figure):

And then there is Josh - the only figure until know with a freehand on it:

I will show you pictures from the finalized figures as soon as they sit on their bases with the individual ground design...

More pictures of these figures (rear side) and my other projects you can find on my blog.

Cheers
Thomas

Now the Character Figures got a structured base - I did not want to let them sit on their flat round base.
It's done with inverted round 25mm bases and the Basing pads from Wargames Bakery.

Of course they still have to be painted, that will be the next step...

As soon as there is paint on the putty, I will show the final pictures of these figures...

Must have been nerve wracking applying all that putty around your wonderful pjs!
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 32
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Well, it was not that nerve wracking...

I actually cut away the baseplate around their feet (but not under their feet) and pressed them in to the putty (which had the given structure from the "stamps") while the putty was still soft.
Then just a little adjustment around the feet, and finished.

Not perfect for showroom-models but pretty simple...

I did not want to drill holes into their skinny legs to pin them to the base, so that seemed to be a valid solution for gaming miniatures.

Cheers
Thomas
