Wedding Pressie
« on: December 11, 2013, 11:36:31 AM »
My mate Daring Dan (aka Old Goat on LAF) is getting married on Thursday so I thought I'd make him something gamey as a pressie.

I had a trawl around for suitable figures and ended up with this pair from Artizan.

I've forgotten which one the femme is but the bloke is Eric Blair, but I filled in his cheekbones, so he looks more like Dan. Of course he does have the same kind of moustache.

I held back from extending his belly, as us portlier gents have to stick together. I also went for a little more hair and in the golden blond of memory.

The tweed was done with a 5/0 and I don't do 5/0 - not even for radio 4.

I've also painted their initials on the old tree which I made. I was going to use Renedra fencing but it proving a few mil too damn wide.

BIG THANKS to Geronimo of Fenris Games for the laser beamed signs, I think it's the finishing touch.

I have gloss varnish her boots, and satin varnished her outfit as well as adding more flowers, but then I wrapped it so no final photo.
