Anglian Miniatures currently does the best, IMHO. Very clean and nicely animated, sculpted by Paul Hicks, IIRC.

I´ve got quite a number of those. Excellent value for money and superb, friendly service.

You can't go wrong with Anglian Miniatures - Paul Hicks sculpts 'em! :D

Link to their gallery.

Force of Arms are also very nice and have an extensive range, but piccies of the figs are few and far between. Which is a pity, because they're nice figures.

Here's their site. You can download a PDF of their catalogue.

In 20 mm you can also find a comprehensive list by Irregular miniatures.

Their website can be also used as painting reference, too.

If you are interested in the SCW air war (as I am) then NAVWAR is the place to go for your 1:300s. They have all of the major planes (and many of the rare ones), all at the best prices going.

Fighters include: NiD-52 (Neiuport - NAVWAR's NiD-622 is a virtual double), I-15 (Polikarpov/"Chato"), I-16 ("Mosca"/"Rata"), He-51 (Heinkel/"Pedro"), Bf-109 (Messerschmitt), CR-32 (Fiat), G-50 (Fiat).

Ground Support/Recon: Br-19 (Breguet), R-5 ("Natacha"), Hs-123 (Henschel/"Angelito"), Ju-87 ("Stuka"), Do-17 ("Bacalao"), Ba-65 (Breda), CA-310 (Caprioni).

Bombers/Transports: MB-210 (Marcel Bloch), SB-2 (Tupolev/"Katiuska"), Ju-52 (Junker), He-111 (Heinkel), BR-20 (Fiat), SM-79 (Savoia), SM-81 (Savoia). Sadly, no Douglas DC-2s, but they do have DC-3s and if you trim the tail a little they will pass.

For extra game flavor, NAVWAR also has many of the odd-ball planes that were only present in small numbers like: Hawker Fury, Bristol Bulldog, Folker D-21, Boing P-26, Dewoitine D-371s & D-510s, Heinkel He-112s, etc.

There are a few gaps here and there among the rarer birds, but all of the major planes of the conflict are represented in NAVWAR's line so you can game any phase of the air war you want: the early war hodgepodge of biplane fighters and whatever else could fly, the middle period when the Russian planes of the Republic held the upper hand, or the end phase when the Nationalists came to dominate with the new faster German and Italian planes.

If you want something a little bigger, I learned recently that Revireresco is starting to make SCW planes in 1:144.  I saw their NiD-52, Br-19, I-16 and SB-2 all painted up as part of their display at the Enfilade Con last month and they all looked great.  Hopefully more SCW planes will be forthcoming from them in due time.

A quick follow-up - Although their SCW aircraft line is still fairly limited, Reviresco has made a really nice start.  Here are some pics I lifted from their site showing some of the new product...

NiD-52 (in early war colors)

NiD-52 (in late war colors)

HS-123

Tupolev SB-2 (in Chinese Nationalist colors)

Polykarpov I-16 (in Chinese Nationalist colors)

Fiat CR-32

I'm looking forward to see what comes next...
