Victory decision: future combat and AT-43
« on: December 26, 2013, 03:18:16 PM »
Hello, first post for me here :)

Looking to get started playing some Vd:fc, and would like to know if anyone have any tips for using karmans and cogs with these rules. Most infantry in VD seems to be normal size unless using exo-armour etc.

Would be really cool to have the AT-43 races converted over to VD, red blok and una are basically in there and perhaps even the therians with some imagination.

If you need anything specific, just say so.
:)

For example: While writing about the Karman stats I realized that we need a short ranged high firepower weapon.
So I created stats for Flechette guns that could also be used as the Karmans Drum Guns Pistols.
The Flechette/ Needle gun will soon be added to the book, just need a final aprroval of my wording...

Hmm. In that case, any chance of a grav APC with decent anti infantry weapon? The hover IFV doesn't look like it would provide it's passengers much covering fire.

I think the intent of the Hover IFV is go give an attacking option to the troops to defend against armoured targets.

No reason why you can't just add a weapon from another list if it fits your vehicle needs better. The High Tech vehicle support weapons list has a Chain Gun that would probably fit the bill.

Exactly what I would propose.
Just pick a weapon you like. As long as your opponent agrees.. who is there to argue?

thanks :) Im gonna see what else AT-43 could be VDfied :)

If im not mistaken, the low range / high fire power Anakonga weapons are drum pistols, the drum guns i believe are the heavy variants carried by Wendigos and Anakongas. Cant wait to try out those flechette guns :) Would be cool with some rules for Wendigo Maser strike attacks as well (theres a reason they carry 4 las-rifles to battle!)

True! :o Changed my original mail!

Cant wait to try out those flechette guns :)
Try this:
High Tech Guided Flechette Gun   3   9”   5xD6-1   Guided   5points

A Mid Tech variant will also be included in the update. 8)
