Burgundy Begins (some WIP added 30/12)
« on: December 27, 2013, 07:20:56 PM »
Since I abandoned my WotR project the figures have been lanquishing in storage awaiting being put up for sale on EBay. Each time I have been ready to list them Dave has persuaded to keep them or Richard has posted pics of his latest creations so it as not happened. Inspired by Saxon Dog and Painterman's blogs I have repainted some figures and based them for Impetus. I have two pikemen done and a mounted figure nearly done towards the next bases.

Excellent start. Everyone medievalist should have a Burgundian army err - looks across at lead pile - ideally a painted one  lol

I see plasticism rears its ugly head once more...  ;)

Excellent paint jobs on wonderful figures. Say it loud they're plastic and proud!  :D

Always fascinating, thanks. o_o

I shall never have a Burgundian army, because I am biased, at the same historical period Brittany was another problem for the French king and I prefer to paint Bretons :D but yes, in this time... Burgundy was... the main power... in the East... ::)

Indeed, what little is about in English on the 'Mad War' makes for interesting reading and of course the English poked their noses into that too.

Glad to hear that you got talked into Burgundians - welcome to the growing little cabal who are tackling Burgundians. Visually stunning... militarily inept!
Very nice looking figures Phil - putting them on your blog?
Simon.

Excellent work!!
I'm almost finished my Burgundians, 3 more units to go!

Charles may not have faired that well on the battlefield, but he is honored by those of us who immortalize his army!

Thaks for the comments and encouragement chaps, below are the WIP for the next bases. Not sure wether to base the pikes up on one big 120mm sq base or two 60x120mm bases.

First two pikemen, bills removed and wire pikes added.

First knight, built straight from the box except for some Pyrogravure work on the plumes.
