Perry Crusaders
« on: December 29, 2013, 12:01:41 PM »
Hi all,

Santa was kind enough to bring me a generous resupply of Perry Crusaders. This gave me the oppertunity to finish my existing Crusader army for DBA - and to further enhance it in the coming months for other Systems.

Best regards and all the best for the new year,
Tobi

Lovely work!
Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

Excellent, very atmospheric.
Rohirrim horse looks good, was it an easy fit?

Many thanks for your kind comments, I really appreciate your support!

@ Janner: The castle is scratchbuild by me using foamboard and cardboard. By now only the first segment is finished (a tower and a wall-section) - I'll post more of it when it is nearer to completion.

@ Emir: Yes, both the Rohirim-horse and the knights of Gondor horses (for the Military Order) fit very well and give a lot of variation. It also adds stability, as the original Perry horses of this range are quite fragil and have very thin wrists.

Thanks for that's horse tip, the terrain is nice too. Is it a felt mat?

Thank you!

@Emir: It is one of my flexible gaming mats - here you can see the complete mat:

If you're interested in how the mats work: I've done a tutorial for the last issue of Wargames Soldiers and Strategy, and also an older one on my blog: http://tobispaintpot.blogspot.de/2012/10/a-new-horizon-tutorial-for-flexible.html
