Gorgeous Miyazaki Tank diorama
« on: June 06, 2008, 03:29:39 PM »

A gorgeous diorama of the "No. 1 Enemy" tank - the Miyazaki tank with the piggy crew that we all love and cherish and wish to own seventy copies of.

Lots of fun little details to look for: Flying bricks off the building, a water fountain, and a piggy infantryman in pickelhaub falling over. Also an armored car.

Did I mention I love this tank?

Wow, that looks fantastic.  I love the Piggy falling over onto his back too.  Like you said, there are a lot of nice little touches that make this look great.

In a perfect world, Dragon would do this kit as a prepaint. I would buy a case of them.

Kinda cool.

It's no Miyazaki tank, though.

Absolutely brilliant diorama! Love it!  :o :-* :o

Scanning Ebay for this thing for a long time, always goes to someone else for too much money ...

Dang. I knew I should have bought it in 2005 when I saw it at Intermodellbau fair for 40 Euros.

Looks similar to the vehicle that was used as the Bauhaus Grizzly tank in Target's Warzone game!

Thatīs because the Swedish Mutant Chronicles guys blatantly ripped off quite a number of Miyazaki designs, not to mention historical ones. The pictured tank was built by Jean-Jaques Chaboissier from the rather basic Armorcast kit which had been issued ca. 1997 and was a taken straightly, if a bit poorly from the designs found in the Bauhaus sourcebook for the MCRPG.
