After escaping the treacherous jungles of South America, our fool hardy adventurers ducked and dived across Europe (with a brief stop in Berlin) to find themselves once again in the vast expanse of the Egyptian Desert.
Reports had reached Berlin that a transport aircraft delivering some equipment to a listening station in the Libyan Desert had been blown off course. Running short of fuel and hoping to make it to a safe landing strip the crew had jettisoned most of the cargo over some fairly inhospitable terrain. The intrepid German Military dispatched its crack group of troops. Professor von Nash and his group of bounty hunters got wind of the German High Commands instructions and have dashed to the desert to see if they can pick up some valuable loot, which they might be able to sell to the highest bidder.
Our story continues ...

The minor plot points – A torn photo currently with Ahmed (a possible Agent), a top secret radio being carried by Ahmed’s bearer, a concealed shipment of ammunition stored in an old barrel and some dismantled weaponry in its stowage case.

An overall view of the, mostly featureless, terrain. The several areas of ruins were considered perilous for this adventure and the large statue-faced tomb entrance is the major plot point. The other plot points were distributed within the ruins.

The military slowly start to head towards the various ruins, fully aware of the Professors group visible just the other side of them.

The Professors’ group, keen to get their hands on the loot, spread out in all directions to grab what they can, having to dodge bullets as they go ...

Whilst the military attempt to form a defensive area in the entrance of the grand tomb ...

Meanwhile, Wu-Lu manages to reach the bearer with the secret radio equipment. Some withering fire forces her to dive for cover, dragging the bearer with her.

Realising they cannot hold the tomb entrance, and attracting fire from all directions, the military withdraw, the Professor standing defiant in the distance having managed to obtain the torn photo from Ahmed.
As before, the miniatures are mostly Artizan, with a couple of Foundry and Bluemoon. However, almost all the Desert terrain has been built by The Somnambulist; the tomb entrance being a really great scratch-built piece and it was good to be able to use it. The German Military League was painted and created by “The Somnambulist” and based on the league produced by Dave and Mila from Pulp Alley.
