Nice work on the miniatures and I agree - the church is looking a little flat painting-wise (but the built is great).

Looking very Russ!  I was at a park near Novgorod where they brought old log buildings from the region, looked very similar to your church.  The walls look much like I've seen at some of the older monasteries.  Very nice stuff!

:o Wow very nice church and I really like the idea about the scaffolding and the not finished part of the bell tower.

Cheers,
Za

Very, very nice. You have inspired me to contemplate a similar build, based on a 'försvarskyrka' (defensive kirk) of my old huntig grounds on Öland an Kalmar (very Yankee sounding name when put in a anglophone context, isn't it? Sounds like the name of a ranch. )

Hossmo, south of Kalmar

This church (it used to have smaller windows and less ornate roof) had a dike rather than a wall around it.

Michael, the church is very beautiful - well done! I sure there's a few more that have also been inspired.

Brilliant Michael. Love the fact that you've chosen to show the spire under construction. Great use of the Perry labourers  :)

Peder - looking forward to your build  :)

I agree, the under construction is a great idea. It also can lead to a running joke as you use it for your 1930s and 1700 century games. Being that the church's roof is always danged and never fixed :P
