Laurent, amazing board, and amazing blog! One of the most beatiful and inspired blogsites I've ever seen...

I can't speak french, but being spanish I've been able to understand most of the text there... A really good and inspiring work!

No problem... we should be able to communicate most efficiently, nonetheless. Et si nous rencontrons des problémes, quelques membres du forum parlent francais, aussi.

Okay, now that we established that my french is at least as bad as your english ;), awesome table! A bit small for my taste, but I guess it´s sufficient for the game? I´ve been a great fan of samurai for years, and a small adventure game might just be the right thing for me.

And now we´ve finally discovered who´s the person who dreams up those Junk Mail Reference Lines! ;)

Just kidding, though. I saw Toutatis´ "Fall of the Roman Empire" table at crisis, and that was pretty damned awesome, too.

Thank you guys for sharing these pictures. I really love this 3d-board.

I saw your 3d-board somewhere in the web weeks ago, but I missed bookmarking it. So I am very happy that you found the way into this forum.

Erwan, what kind of wood have you used, is it balsa wood? The ground squares look like 3 cm x 3 cm right?

Awesome! But it must be horribly difficult to transport without taking damage, eh? ;)

I am in complete awe. That is a beautiful board in every detail. You really can see it in the closeups. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the construction shots. They really help in visualizing how you put it together.

 this work is "museum quality!"  But people are actually using it to game! Probably only professionals could try to match it.  Thank you for showing this work of art.

Looks like a perfect size for a game of .45 Adventure or Gloire.  Perhaps this team could produce a palace interior or a palace garden for a game of Three Musketeers?  Perhaps a rowdy pirate tavern?  It would be a dream to see more work like this!

Question:  is the water flexible enough to avoid cracking? or is the frame strong enough to avoid this issue?  I ask because a friend of mine made some nice river sections out of a clear substance that looks like water, but at least one of the sections cracked.  Granted those were terrain pieces frequently handled and not on a very stiff frame.
