Another Reaper Bones that has been sitting about....

I have haunted the tombs of the ages,
I have flown on the pinions of fear,
Where the smoke-belching Erebus rages;
Where the jokulls loom snow-clad and drear:
And in realms where the sun of the desert consumes what it never can cheer.

LPC 13 Nightguant

“Shocking and uncouth black beings with smooth, oily, whale-like surfaces, unpleasant horns that curved inward toward each other, bat-wings whose beating made no sound, ugly prehensile paws, and barbed tails that lashed needlessly and disquietingly. And worst of all, they never spoke or laughed, and never smiled because they had no faces at all to smile with, but only a suggestive blankness where a face ought to be. All they ever did was clutch and fly and tickle; that was the way of night-gaunts.”
—H. P. Lovecraft, The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath

Just 3 days, 13 entries on 4 pages. I better get some paint on something. Good thing I have such a big lead mountain to dig into.

I'm digging... and prepping... expecting to prime some minis this (cold and windy?) evening...  ;D

I almost completed mine last night. I showed the miniature to my wife who said "that's disgusting". I'm happy with that.

Mine's been done a couple of days, now stuck for time to photograph it...  :(
Incidentally, why did the forum disappear for hours (at least in my part of the world) shortly after this particular painting circle was started? Ominous, if you ask me.... :o

I live in Florida, things are wet or hot most of the time. Invest in an airbrush and airbrush primer...worth the investment.

LPC 14: The Worm That Gnaws

For it is of old rumour that the soul of the devil-bought hastes not from his charnel clay, but fats and instructs the very worm that gnaws; till out of corruption horrid life springs, and the dull scavengers of earth wax crafty to vex it and swell monstrous to plague it. Great holes secretly are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice...
The Necronomicon, by Abdul Alhazred

This guy is an old RAFM figure, sculpted by Mr. Murch but not in their Call Of Cthulhu line...Crypt Worm or Tomb Worm or something like that. A real gem if you can find it. Incidentally, I've had this guy for several years on my desk, partially finished...or partially started. The tongue is a plastic GW bit from the Dark Eldar (?) I think...in the end I'm glad to have him finished and plan on using him to eat some pesky Agents A.S.A.P.
