Stage Coach Office WIP
« on: June 15, 2008, 10:22:16 PM »

Here is what I found lurking in one cracker / biscuit box and a few match sticks today.

It is for 25mm Old West scenarios.

I have it primed now, but this is the un-primed shot.

The Stage Coach Office will join the other LotOW scratch built buildings.

C&C welcome, of course!

Looks good, my only bit of advice is to put a base under the prtch struts as they will be liable to get broken otherwise

I did a majority of the cutting and prep work in about 1 hour. The total build time was approx. 2.5 hours including the cut time and the MDF base.

My goal was to insure the time and the materials fit the ultimate use of the building. Gamers can be rough on things. ;)

Lowtardog

Righty. Have the recycled MDF base. It's approx 280mm x 127mm  (5" x 11") and I scarfed the edges. Just for giggles I gave the rectangle a few long curves.

I'll prolly use a bit of PVA and sand. Then prime it. Add a dose of rocks and maybe a patch or two of static grass. I'm open to ideas. Heh.

For stability I like to include bases on my buildings. Next pic I'll include the extremely 'artistic' base. :)

I was going for a run-down, neigh-forgotten look.

Paint and embellishments are nexters.

Inputs welcomed.

I love the run down look. For some good tumbleweeds to add to the base. Get some steel wool, lightly ball it up then spray paint. You can crank them out in just a couple of minutes.

Thanks Operator5.

I'm fortunate to have friends who love Old West gaming as much as I do.

Heh. Next genre is a Bit O' Pulp.

Good idea on the steel wool. I hadn't thought on those lines before.

Brilliant!

Col.Stone, it took more care than I imagined to make it look so 'bad'. Thanks.

I get a lot of inspiration from the singularly talented members here abouts.

Sounds like the easy solution - Thanks!!  :)

__archangel1 has guessed well.

Heh. Last paying passengers came and went quite a while ago by the looks of it.

Old "Tight-Eyes" (rattlen-snakess) and Wights of the Old West hang about? :D

Making stuff look worn without looking badly modelled/painted
is pretty difficult compared to painting a fresh from the factory look
of course when you make tanks you can just cover mistakes in mud :)

I'm gonna have to make a stagecoach office next, this has really inspired me :)
