Couple of barrows COMPLETE PAGE 2
« on: February 09, 2014, 11:46:49 AM »
Started two new barrows today, one will be snow covered the other just grass etc, any hints on making deep snow would be appreciated ! These will be used for some fantasy skirmish games me and my friend have planned:)

Fantastic!

Excellent! Never 'made' snow myself so I'll be interested to see which method you opt for.

Now that is a pretty mice start.

Thanks guys  :) the resin is indeed from fenris I cut the piece down so it would make a door, I figuring the writing on the stones would be some kind of magical protection from intruders etc

Squeak!

Nice barrows - the doors look fancy.

For snow, WeldBond white glue, Woodland Scenics snow flock, and water to thin. Make into a thickish mess like melting ice cream (the amount of water will determine the depth you can apply it!); apply liberally. While drying, dust with fresh white snow flock. Don't get fooled into the yellow snow flock!

Let dry around a full day.

They look WONDERFUL! Up until you mentioned snow, you finishing touches plan sounded TERRIFIC...I don't suppose you could skip the God-Awful snow & go for a Spring setting.

Give it chance; Andy will make it look brilliant with the snow!

I'm sure Andy's modeling abilities are SUPERB. It's that I absolutely despise snow...the real, trudge through miles of the miserable stuff style of snow. For that matter Winter in general falls into the utter hatred category. Of course, that may be just moi.
