I don't think that I have ever seen the 'mass of enemy' so well depicted on the table top.

Fantastic painting and superb photography.  :-* :-* :-*

Thanks, I have around 1400  mahdists , commanders, foot , mounted , guns & crew  , boat crew and vignette pieces . I have about  200 more being added shortly

The imperials and Egyptians are about the same .., but only a fraction were in these pictures . Or would ever be in the same battle . I like to have different forces to choose from

So overall the collection is heading for 3000 28mm figures

Well, if you have that many British and Egyptians, I think you need a few more of the Mahdist forces, only about 3,000 more.  Not too many.  Certainly not for you!   ;)

I am doing some pieces for the 1898 reconquest of the Sudan at the moment .

First up adding in some Maxim teams

"Whatever happens , we have the maxim gun and they do not"

these are Wargames foundry sets, mounted on a gun carriage with an added plasticard shield ..

And Young Winston has arrived

Conversion job . Base figures is a Foundry mounted infantry officer . Took the arm off and soldered on one with a broom handled Mauser - figure from Statusque Miniatures pulp range . Horse is a Perry one from one of thier Egyptian sets .

That's a nice conversion!  :-*

"but I think I will lose the storage wars!"  Amen and hallelujah, brother.  For some inconceivable reason, my wife thinks she should have space for her stuff, too.  The nerve of the woman!  lol

 And, yes, nice work.
