Galinor of Pelargir (Joins the Glaurung)

Another volunteer has been accepted to join the crew of the Glaurung in my solo Lord of the Rings campaign. And first the first time, he's not be represented by a GW Lord of the Rings miniature...

The sword blade is from the Wargames Factory orc sprue.

In truth, it went on so easy, and is such a great alternative to flimsy resin blades, I'm considering it it for all future resin figures. I don't mind painting resin, but hate the floppy swords it tends to produce.

That is an awesome model. Definetely one of the must haves. And from what I can see it fits in really well with the LotR range. Nice decision and of course now here's the character for the teens to identify with...  :D

Looks great if anybody knows more sources for lotr scaled alternatives (preferably cheaper, not too difficult these times ...) please don't hesitate to share them  ;)
