You go to war with the figures you have, not the figures you wish you had!

Eric, thanks for posting that Ancient Warfare issue on your blog. My 15mm Pontic army has been sitting because I can't find any illustrations or paint scheme ideas. Seems like there is not much out there about how the Pontic army looked. I have a book in French, which I unfortunately don't read, but has nice computer-generated illustrations for the Ptolemaic Kingdom. I was planning to go with those.

Before I order that copy of AW, does it contain decent illustrations? How is the article itself?

Best regards,

Richard

There is few plates in Ancient warfare but a lot of very useful articles.
1 plate for the cover.
1 about imitation legionaries
1 on cataphract cavalryman
1 on egyptian navy
1 on greek siege warfare
And a central ouble pages on roman siege warfare
All plates are original ones
As a wargames since 1979, i have learn some new things about Mithridates.

Cheers
Eric
