The WIP for my walls, based on extruded styrene foam.

and a close up for scale purpose with Gaius  ;)

Next step : protect the foam with glue-varnish and paper handkerchief. ;)

Sorry Eric,

I've not had the time until now to reply. I took the time to follow your links, and I'd say if that's the styling your aiming for . Then your on target, and seeing the progress you've made with the arches I'd go as far as to say your raising the bar.

A nice idea, well executed, that will certainly add another dimension both visually and in a gaming sense.

One tip from when I carved stuff from foam: Add some PVA into your primer layer as it adds strength and stops the foam 'eating' so much of the paint.
 ;)

Right Mason.
But as i use glue-varnish with paper handkerchiefs, i don't need it.
The glue-varnish transforming the foam into a rigid material  o_o

I’d agree with Tin Shed’s comments about adding the footpaths...once you’ve got slightly raised areas you’d be amazed how quickly the space in between buildings seems to get eaten up.

Really like your walls/arches.

Those tiles look good.  What did you use?

The basing and roof really pull it together.   :-*

Those tiles look good.  What did you use?

as you can see on the picture, i use a piece of corrugated paper (a green one this time).
All my buildings are based on this same roofing style where tiles are needed. Cost : nearly nothing

the tiles are design with a simple cutter.
I draw lines with the cutter and a ruler to simulate the tile lines. Don't press on the cutter to cut only the rounded shape of the corrugated paper

simple but efficient, isn't it ? ;)
