My First Zombies
« on: June 20, 2008, 12:17:59 AM »
All the great Zombie projects around here has inspired me to get to painting!  Here is my first batch.

There will be more to come...about 37 more to be overly exact.

Enjoy!

I agree, that is a great looking painting table. I also like the river in your LOTR game.

Thanks for the comments!  As a side note, my painting table is rarely as neat as the photo on the blog.

Terrible Tim - The river on the LOTR game are from Pegasus Hobbies River Set.  THat is how they look straight from the box.  I will be doing some minor repaints on those on the future.  They are a great value at only $18 a set.

I think there are lots of better zombies out there than the GW offerings, so I'm kind of "meh" with respect to the minis (although the paintjobs are nice).

I have to echo the salute for your painting nook though.  I spent literally 90 minutes at Lowe's (hardware superstore) yesterday just staring at shelves, countertops, undershelf lighting, etc, thinking about turning a large closet into a painting den.  I ultimately walked away, shaking my head at the complexity of possibilities.  It's always a pleasure to see how people have turned small spaces into hobby rooms to help me plan my own conversion.

Understood.  The GW zombies are what they are - cheap filler.  There are much better offereing out their but for a good zombie game you need numbers and the GW makes it easy to build the numbers and not have them all look exactly the same.  It the the greater variety you get with zombies the better so the GW's are a must in my book.  Thanks for checking them out.

As for the painting desk, I should start a new topic.  Seems I get more interest in the desk than the projects...well sometimes.
