What to do with the RR armoured car? give it to me  ;D
You sound just like the govt (Malta) bargaining team which is currently -ah- considering our long overdue collective agreement....  ;) ;D

By the way, there's also (in the truck-ish catergory) a 1923 Scania-Vabis post bus with skis on the front wheel and small caterpillars on the rear and a 1905 Fowler steam traction engine. And Stephenson's Rocket - fun for a railway-chase type scenario. Still not a truck but as big as one - heck, larger than some - is a 1:43 scale (as helpfully indicated on the box) ZIL-115 limo-type car. All 15cm of it!

Don't anguish, simply respray. I have 3 Rolls Royce ACs all resprayed as well as load of assorted Crossley tenders and other diecast cars and trucks. As long as the surface is clean you don't even need to strip the current paint job although with the Rolls removing those roundels, which sit proud, is good idea. Remove the tyres, easily done with Lledo/Matchbox,  clean up the surface with some detergent to remove any grease, find a suitable enamel spray ( Tamiya worked for me) and go to it. You can then overpaint in acrylics, highlight, wash and weather just as you would with a kit.

Thanks, but I'm afraid Walmart is a little too far away for me  ;) But I'll  just keep looking in toy stores and the toy sections of supermarkets... sooner or later I'll get various bits and pieces collected.... A bulldozer would make a nice addition as a getaway ride for a zombie game, though  lol

You US guys seem to have a lot of opportunties for buying fun stuff thet can be turned into useful gaming pros, though...
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Doh! The gamer obviously. :)

Never really understood the whole collectors thing, the whole unopened box thing causes me to giggle. These are mass produced toys and I'm buying mine to play with.

I've never tried them but I hear good things, especially those seeking Siku models.

Another easy answer ?
Look on ebay.
If they are fetching serious money, collect yours (or even sell it and buy a couple of wargamers ones).
If they are reasonably priced, buy another, keep yours intact for sentimental reasons and respray the new one.
I managed to pick one up from ebay for £5 + postage, but am waiting to respray until I can get a second one (mainly because I cannot decide on the colour scheme I want, so if I can get 2 I can paint them differently)
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

To support the gamer in you Vanvlak, I have seen two RR armoured cars for under £10, the only thing not making me buy those where the postage.
