Home Bargains is selling black Stomp Stones in-shop for £2 each. The website has 10 for £19.90.

12x12" plastic paving 'stones', about 1" tall, hollow underneath, made from recycled tyres and things. Pretty nice, natural, irregular slate surface on top, with a slightly sandy texture. Looks like they could easily take paint 'n' flock for a pretty nice, relatively cheap, modular board. The only things are the bevelled edges, which would make the divisions between tiles a lot more obvious if you couldn't cover them up somehow; and some of them seemed fairly bowed in the middle, although that might be because they weren't stored flat and horizontally.

The 'Action' chain has some christmas/pine trees. The 'snow' is permanently fixed, I've hoped to be able to peel is of but this will prove to be too much work. Maybe I'll paint/flock them somewhere in the future, but they can serve as is (with rebasing) for now.

There are set of three plastic police cars and three police flat bed trucks in poundland at the moment. They're identical and the usual quality, but look to be 28mm scale

I also noticed some die-cast metal cars that are usable with 28mm

Poundland has had in some die cast Bond cars for a few weeks now. They're from those fortnightly magazines .

Tony -
The 1/43rd include Crusader & Somua tanks, Hanomag & M16 half tracks, and they've been reduced to £5 now to clear them.

A couple of old dino things: I've seen these Walking With Dinosaurs figures pop up in The Works recently. And Poundstretcher has some smallish but nice-quality brachiosaurid, with the same knockoff branding and cheap price as these guys.

I just ordered a cheap Traction Avant from (I think) this series. Hopefully it will fit well with my existing fleet!

One thing to watch out for, at least with the M16 that I bought, is that it's secured to its base with 2mm triangular torq screws. Cost me a whole £1.50 extra to get the proper screwdriver from Amazon ;D

Poundland Tewksbury.

I picked up a set of four double-ended sculpting tools with metal ball ends.

They are being sold as 4PK NAIL ART TOOL under the Artistic Flair name and on the Nail Art or nail  varnish aisle.

They look like this;

I got some of those (with a wooden handle) and they sold them as embossing tools.

The Works has "Grafix Clip kits" at £2 each.
Not sure of scale, but they have Black Hawks, attack helicopters (Apache?) some aircraft and some cars.
All the same sized box, so probably mixed scales.
Include acrylic paint and a brush which is quite good for applying base texture (saves destroying a decent brush).

Home Bargains have the helicopters at £1. The scale for the Apache is about 1/144
