Hopefully this won't offend any dinosaur purists out there, but The Works are currently selling packs of Predasaurs for 2 or 3 pounds.

Some mad victorian scientist combining species perhaps ???

My local Poundland (Newcastle) has re-stocks of the russian die casts with a few I hadn't seen before like a (Traffic?) police bus in yellow and blue livery (about a quarter more in length than the cars),still hoping for some police cars and a KGB type black GAZ limo/saloon.
gan canny kidder!

Found these EXCELLENT placemats (I think they're vinyl?) in the dollar store here in Ontario - $4 for a package of 4 (I just grabbed two loose ones for $2, it'll be more than I'll ever need). Each mat is 17.5" x 11.5"

Perfect for the day you want to make a "Native Hut", Cambodian village, or whatever similar things come to mind.

Price of the welly die-casts went down in dreamland  in belgium, some are now 2,69 instead of 3,49. Found some rather usefull police cruisers and other stuff. same scale as the ones who were in ACTION a few months ago (All togheter on the second picture)

Nice place to put your new "babies" on!  lol
Those police cars are just perfect, I'd even buy them for 3,50!
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

Found this one in the local "T€DI" (Germany) :

It's completely made of (sturdy) plastic and most details are just decals. But for 2 euros this will become a nice burned out wreck!

I had a brainwave today when I was in one of the cheapy stores and walked past the spice rack. I already have some dollar store herbs and spices to use as scatter (tree debris, etc.), but I saw poppy seeds and realized the stuff might just make amazing gravel (or a little stone scatter)!

We'll see how that goes!
