Re: A Star Wars Miniatures Battles Project: new Modular board: CLOUD CITY
« Reply #151 on: January 10, 2016, 05:37:33 PM »
all boards were built 6 cmts. deep.  [Really looked taller!] As all structures are removable, all 4 boards put toguether heights 25 cmts.
Thus, sizes would be 25cmts. height x 60 w x 60 long. [Dopey moi; I assumed SOME structures were 'nailed down.']

plus  i needed 3 cardboard big boxes to put the rest of scenery [Now, THAT'S no surprise! ;) ]

Again, just awesome.

Thank you again Doug;
nope, i needed all buildings to be completely removable. that helps to change a bit the map ( for different games)
In fact, since i make a great inversion in the corridor system, i wondered that it would be also easily used as parts of An asteroid secret base ( pirate/rebel) any Imperial Advanced Science complex.....or whatever.
thus, i focus on giving part of the scenics just on the boards, that could be easily interchanged by, for instance, an Asteroid surface. In four boards 6 cms. deep i could mix again exterior barren surface with zones carved directly into the Asteroid, provided preassured enviroment.
in fact  if anyone  played the WEG RPG i'm wondering on some "Strikeforce:Shantipole"map:  the 1st rebel base in the Roche Asteroid field.  o_o ::)
or , as someone nailed before, a sort-of Moonbase Alpha

Aha!
I thought so.
Ran loads of it in the early nineties and I think that I had pretty much all of the books that were out at the time.
I have managed to pick up the odd one here and there since for nostalgia's sake.
 :D

yupp, i keep re- reading them occasionaly. and i realize that are, probabbly the best Sw themed RPG done. lastly i've picked a PDF. collection and completeD my rpg collection.
The amount of information involving different known places ( Bespin, and Yavin, MOs Eisley.....) PUBLISHED BY weg WAS ASTONISHING, NOT TO MENTION and brand-new ones adventures ( such as, in this case, the Roche Asteroid field, the Verpine, who built the original B-wing prototypes under the command of Commander Ackbar..... HELL It could be the script of another SW Anthology film!!!!! lol lol lol lol

What's next?? Bespin left my Diógenes boxes exhauted so.... i'm Going yo collaborate with my friends and Gamers Criamon and Victor for building this little, - but  IMHO one of the best WEG published SWMB scenario.

Re: A Star Wars Miniatures Battles Project: some sandtrooper weathering
« Reply #163 on: April 06, 2016, 05:37:22 PM »
Hi there, folks!!!
i needed to restart posting something. Too busy late times, but at least , a couple of pics.
Inspired by Commander Vyper's amazing sandtrooper conversions, i decided to follow his techniques to convert some standard stormies to Sandtroopers.
Additionally, i have tested some weathering and pigments in order to give them a really hardened look. I wanted to reflect the long-range missions given to this special trained stormtroopers. So i gave them additional equipment ( blaster  ammo, long-range comm equipment) to some of them.

Hope you like them and, obviously, any advice will be welcome!!!
Again, thanks to commander Vyper for the work converting stormies, that was an inspiration for me. It's your Idea, My master ;)
