While I can appreciate the nostalgia...the sculpts don't look very good.  Are these something they bought from an old sculptor?  They look pretty "meh".

The paint job on these is really good. Nice clean work Dags.

The sculpts don't look as good as most modern miniatures, but I think they would look great with the older GW ranges. I can see those riding along with ape gangs in Judge Dread, and they might fit right in to a Rogue Trader game. How do they size up next to the older figures?

I rather like them. I am thinking of pre-ordering for Salute but then if I chance it on the day, they may sell out and my 'they are new and need them' excuse for adding them to the lead pile goes. This is a real dilemma gentlemen and I would appreciate your thoughts  :)

The sculptor is Whiffwaff (he also did the bof not-Dune figures).

I had the foot apes greens before Ainsty put them into production so I can confirm that they fit in well size-wise with the now OOP Eureka apes. Haven't got any of the mounted so can't comment on their relative size.

Whiffy's dollies tend to be quite squat and chunky in stature and so fit in well with the hunched ape pose, less well for humans IMHO.

I also thought the not-Dune were 'bof', not looking particularly chunky outside of some that should. Makes these a bit disappointing. I have no problem with the bodies, though a bit stiff, but not appreciating the heads, myself.

I'll go with YMMV; I'd hate to think a bit of criticism might dissuade him from further effort!

Knowing Andy I don't think a bit of criticism will deter him  ;)

I think these will sell well for him, as they are reasonably priced.
