I did a series of games this week to post up as AARs in the various Genres that INEPTT can be played in. So here we go with the first. A Genre 3 game.
INEPTT HQ received was alerted by Space tracking Radar of an inbound contact moving at approximately 250000 mph towards earth. When the object neared earth orbit it slowed and broken into 2 targets, one much smaller that the other. As INEPTT HQ tracked it was seen to be heading towards Panhandle Oregon. The tracked objects were obviously driven craft of some sort so INEPTT dispatched two teams immediately to the area.
In this game the players had to control local police until INEPTT showed up. INEPTT was given a variable arrival time and in this mission it ended up that the INEPTT teams would arrive on turn three.
The craft were both rolled for where they would land and a 1 was rolled for the small scout which meant a crash landing into a building. Of course the towns folk immediately came out and the police tried to cordon off the area with a building burning in the background.

As SWAT prepared to enter the destroyed building and see what remains of the UFO they hear noises coming from the crash site.

Sweet Mary mother of ...... PANIC and Terror grip the crowd and police alike. What the heck is that thing! This XRAY is now designated by INEPTT as a Kapre. The Kapre was or is a Philipines Tree Demon.
The Sniper took a shot and although he got a clean hit, there was no penetration of the Kapres hide. The SWAT team members who didn't panic opened fire with their MP5s, and although they caused a total of 7 hits there was no damage as their 9mm rounds couldn't penetrate the thick hide of the XRAY.
Meanwhile a loud whoosh brought in a large UFO that landed just beyond the road and immediately spewed out a number of Renders. The Renders got off a few shots at civilians and Riot police.

Shifting targets the SWAT Sniper opens up on the Renders and first shot is a head shot dropping a Render.
Recovering after initial shock, the SWAT team continues to hammer at the Kapre, but to no avail. The giant XRAY however rips apart two of the SWAT members.
Reporters, police and civilians alike flee in terror!
The fleeing civilians are closely followed by the riot police who have no weapons to take on Renders or the Kapre.
Incredibly fast and with tons of fire power, the Renders tear into the fleeing civilians and riot police quickly killing about a dozen in total. The Sniper gets another kill and so there are only 7 Renders left!
THANK GOD - here comes INEPTT. Two teams of Vets with an Abrahms tank. The tank gets a shot off at the Kapre and does significant damage to the XRAY which charges towards this worthy adversary!
Destroying police vehicles as it charges the Kapre gets almost within striking distance of the tank. However, the 120mm gun fires and finished off the Kapre.
Renders finish off the last of the riot police and in a shoot out kill the sniper and spotter after losing a third of their own.

INEPTT Vets move into good shooting locations and open up on the Renders.
Only four Renders left now.
Renders won't retreat though and continue the fight taking out one agent from each of the two teams.
Last Render goes down in a hail of gunfire.
The INEPTT teams did their job and took out the XRAYs. Sadly the sniper didn't survive as he managed three kills on four shots - not bad in the face of the terrifying monsters they had just encountered.
Total game time - just under 45 minutes.
