A TMP refugee
« on: April 05, 2014, 12:12:37 PM »
Thought I'd say hello as I intend to use this site fully now rather than TMP.

Why?

Because my account has been locked with no comment and no reply to my mails asking why from any of their "editorial" team, who appear to be rather more interested in flogging cars in the marketplace and asking for ways to get green cards.

Hello and welcome to the forums. I am sure you will quickly forget any frustrations you carried over, if at all. :)

As one TMP bannee to another: hello!  :D

This place has much, much less aggro and strangeness.

And your questions get answered, not picked up, twisted around and run away with.

Sorry to hear about the abrupt exit on TMP. Considering how weird the old site software is lately with member data it might not even be on purpose.

Yes there are some strange things on TMP lately, like car sales. I came back here after a hiatus, you will enjoy it here.

Bill locked my account a while ago.   I've enjoyed LAF quire a bit, and besides missing  market place don't miss TMP at all.

The talent displayed by folks here at LAF is just awe inspiring.  Some fantastic painters, sculptors and terrain makers.  And the historical knowledge is great.  Some damn good folks around here, even if they are dumb enough to let a schmoe like me hang around.

 ;)

PMT is a silly place.
I gave up posting there ages ago. Now I don't even bother with their "marketplace".

The ferals have taken over there.

Well, being banned by Baghdad Bill, means your chances of appearing on convicted child sex offenders list has been considerably reduced.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the LAF. Every new member raises the value of our skill- and knowledge pool. Tis is a fine community of friendly people to share the interest in a fabulous hobby. I enjoy a few years of membership and have never been banned from here. However I never was a PMT member or even cared to have a curious look at that site...  :D

Never bothered with TMP myself, when i do a search on google, and come across a TMP topic, it always tends to become a brawl if you read it to the end  ::)

The other good thing about the LAF is that this is the most grumbling about TMP I've ever seen here. This is a miniatures forum that actually focuses on miniatures rather than other miniatures forums. :D

Welcome to LAF, just stay away from the dark corners until you know your way around.
