Scibor are only a couple of milimetres larger than games workshop stock. I have the sword master converted into a warrior priest and stood next to empire troops it does not look out of place.
They are also very nice miniatures too.

I know you said you were mostly looking for the player characters, but I think you can't go wrong with Otherworlds for when you get to filling in the monsters. The old school style of the miniatures can be deceiving. The sculpts and crisp and tidy, even though the look harkens back to the crude drawings of yesteryear.
