Nice there!!!

I've ordered two days ago figures for a Basic Impetus army of arabs to be used as Saladin's army!

Just one thing: what will you use as rules-set or campaign (if it'll be crusades) resource, books ,material?

greetings!!

Good heavens! What an utterly intimidating pile of figures! lol

Looking forward to seeing them turn into a painted army. I haven't seen much of the HaT stuff before, but I've heard them mentioned a few times now.

I am looking at the Crusader rules to see if they will work. No resource lists yet, just going to start building units, but I may use DBM lists as a main resource.

I will post pics during the "build" stage for comparison. They are the same height as the Gripping Beast Arabs, although thinner. They will be fine in a unit on their own.

Ok, it would be great to hear your thoughts on Crusader. Congrats on the army and can't wait to see it done!

I'm starting to consider using The Crusades (SPI games, http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/6240/the-crusades) for the campaign setting and scenario, while I'll stick to Basic Impetus for battle solving and army lists.

cheers and keep it up!

Looking forward to seeing this army painted up. Is this for a Crusader campaign? Or A Reconquista/Conquest of Spain army?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Hopefully it will cover a period of 900AD to 3rd Crusade, Fight El Cid and the Crusader armies.

There were changes in Andalusian costume from christian and berber influence in different periods.

@ Druzhina

Thank for those links. I was going to "proxy" the Andalusians until I get more Berbers. But on mass won't be to much of a problem. The HaT are fillers (only a couple of pounds each box and I wanted to see how the compared to other 28mm.

I do not like the Hinchcliffe horse (to Skinny) and I am looking for cheap horse but have not seen any without saddles. Thinking of the HaT horses and they may work OK.

Ohh this will be a thread to follow.

Please take some comparison pictures with some of those Hat miniatures and some others, Ive looked at them on the net but Its hard to make out if they are compatible with other miniatures.
