Been busy on other project for a while. Back to Jihad!

Next box of GB Arabs. This time I will be doing Black Berbers and an archer unit Flag bearers arms from Templar Fire Forge

Show us the cavalry. Where are the cavalry? Where are the proper Saracen troops? I know I'm being a git, but infantry are not where the Muslim forces are at unless you only intend to do sieges.

I'm going to be a pain in your bum here. What army are you building? I mainly built cavalry for the Saracens, but I've always thought my dismounted Saracens (and I did buy a few) have been a higher proportion than was needed and now I wish I had more Saracen cavalry.

I would like to think I've been part of the promotion this war games period over the years. Please, don't go down the route of trying to make it another infantry  period. Read a book or two, it's not. You will have to put your hand in your pocket for this one. We are talking cavalry armies, even for the infantry orientated Egyptian side.

Having said all this. I like the idea of more gaming in this period however it is done.

I think 1:3 to 1:4 cavalry:infantry ratio is quite good for the battles in Al-Andalus.

@ Olicana. The Cavalry are coming.....but not yet. I have to many cavalry projects on the workbench ATM, but they will come my friend, and like your lovely army....................in numbers

I will take note of your ratios, Pocoloco. I am building a generic muslim army, hopefully to cover a few hundred years. still got Cavalry to to as yet.
