Finally got around to finishing this bloke. One of the new Under Fire miniatures 28mm Bundeswehr figures, to go with my Eureka Portuguese blokes. Chopped off the West German belt kit (didn't do the webbing yoke) and added some ammo pouches and water-bottles.

Size comparison with a Eureka figure.

Very nice
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I like that conversion and I've been eyeing off those Under Fire Germans.
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

great looking figures...I wIsh there was a universal guide for size measurement in miniatures.....25..28...30...32...not fair to gamers, who like variety of manufactors and figure types.

Under Fire Miniatures are a reasonable match (within human variation) with Empress (except "those Chechnya figures" which are about a head shorter than the rest of the Empress figures I have). They also match nicely with Crooked Dice.

It is like choosing any scale, what is the best in the period you are interested in, then you choose those which match within your taste.

Very nice. I like the head conversion (I have put wooly hat heads on mine, but then they are going somewhere chillier).

And you can see the WIP here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=106646.msg1437530#msg1437530

It may be some time before I get any paint on them.
