German Peasant Wars in 28mm
« on: April 30, 2014, 11:28:17 PM »
Set up and solo played the game I'm running this year at Enfilade. The game is based on The German Peasant wars 1524-1526.

The game will have 4 players (2 peasant, 2 Imperial). Each peasant player will have 4 bands of 5 figs.
The Imperialist will each have a 16 man unit of Landsknecht, and 1 large cannon w/crew.
The rules will be a bastardized version of SAGA (no BB). Modifications include pikes being able to engage in combat 4" away from enemy stand to represent 16' pikes. Only first and second rank counts in close combat.

My biggest concern is the game will be very bloody and play very quickly. Critiques and comments welcomed. Need to finish the peasant artillery.  :P

Lovely stuff....little gamed period, too little I think. Any chance of a front-on of that cannon?
It's nothing, sir. Just a burn from a ray gun.

Love it. I agree, little gamed period. I chuckled when 'Field of Glory' produced lists for this.

I lke your idea. Please leave a version of your modified SAGA-Rules. I think about the Hanse ( because one town of the hane is my hometown).
