japanese village for ronin

this is my village piece for ronin, i have been working on japanese stuff for some time, i will post other projects in due course, the figs are perry samurai and korean soldier for scale, all buildings are scratchbuilt

thanks for your kind comments, the buildings are made from 3mm MDF, matchsticks and stripwood, the roof is made from a bathmat with suitable pile which can be brushed down to resemble straw and then hardened with pva

i will be making rice paddys, not sure how to get an authentic look to it yet though for the actual rice/ stalks yet, at the moment i am building a small yashiki which is a mansion for a daimyo/ samurai

Have a scoot through the GCT Bushido forum, they have had some nice demo tables made and I think there are pics on the forum.
