Legend tells of a cursed village, once the home of a famous cathedral, now abandoned to the ravages of time and nature... No one is sure what caused the disaster, but the dark tale of the magnificent stone cathedral's collapse is told only in whispers by the local folk.

Some say the Order responsible for the cathedral hoarded a cache of Spanish gold, stolen from the Incas, others that the priests were devil worshippers capable of powerful magics. Maybe both stories are true? One thing is certain; Pueblo Maldito has drawn more than its share of academics and treasure hunters to its silent streets and decaying villas... Yet none have returned.

This was a basic 'Trail of Clues' game played with 3 players. The goal was to introduce Pulp Alley to my friends and have some fun. We started the game with the third player in the middle of the table. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
Unfortunately the action got so frantic toward the end of the game that the camera got neglected.
The pre-game events included two 'Delays' and 'Danger! Danger!', so this was guaranteed to be a thrilling session!
The first Minor Plot Point was the lost Pack Mule. Last survivor of a previous expedition. What does it carry? The rubble piles and any part of the cathedral structure are considered Perilous Terrain.

The second Minor Plot Point is on the roof of one of the decrepit buildings at the other end of the village. The Danger! Danger! event means that climbing to the roof tops will count as an Extreme Peril.

As the game begins, the highly respected German explorer and adventurer Baron Siegfried and his wife, the Baroness, have already lead their team into the deserted village.

In the shadows of the jungle lurks the infamous 'Shelly' and her gang of cut-throat currs; motivated only by greed and cruelty, this group is bad news...

What's this!? Long Tom Roberts, Renny Renwick and Monk Mayfair? Could the Man of Bronze be far behind? Truly an encounter of epic proportions is brewing up under the heat of the mid-day tropical sun...

Shelly drives her crew into the perils of the collapsed cathedral, dashing to a plot point, only to end up in a face-off with Renny. Renny goes down under a hail of bullets, but he manages to recover and rushes into a brawl with Shelly's goons.

Meanwhile, the Baron attempts to thwart Doc Savage who has gained the rickety rooftop and is trying (and failing) to uncover the mystery of the second Plot Point...

The next turns are nail-biters as Renny is dealt a cruel blow and Long Tom is cut down as he tries to cross the zócalo outside the cathedral...

Shelly resolves her plot point and her team of villains moves on to the next clue, while over on the dangerous roof-tops Doc and Baron Siegfried are still caught in a nightmare battle...

At this point the details get hazy. Some say that Doc Savage's doughty crew managed to spoil Shelly's run for the big prize, others claim that Shelly beat both the Baron and the Man of Bronze.... Only problem is, no survivor has actually been found to tell the tale.
