Mike,

Your games are so atmospheric. Those pictures at the start of this thread to whet our appetites and then such a great story on your blog, I really wanted to be there playing that game!

The game was a blast, though Joel will probably claim that was due to the supply of Scotch Ale I laid in for the night's game.

I have no idea what Scotch Ale is but it does indeed look like a blast! The scenery is also superb and I particularly like this shot of the " long, steamy mountain valley that the archaeologists had to cross." This is what I mean by atmospheric!  :-*

Once you have a drop of the wee heavy, there's no goin' back.  o_o
Seriously good beer on a par with the finest dark brews of Vienna and München.
Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

Amen, brother! Served that night were:

Old Chubb Scotch Ale 8% alcohol

Floyd's Folly Scottish Ale 8% alcohol

Twisted Kilt Scotch Ale 5.3% alcohol

Jackie O's Brewery Matriarch Triple IPA 11% alcohol
(on draft growler)

Normally, I don't hammer them with such heavy ales, but hey! It was to celebrate my first week of summer break from school...!  ;D :D o_o

That is some strong beer! The first two look quite dark, are they what I would call stout?

This is the one I'm drinking at the moment but it's not as strong as your Scotch Ale.

Scotch Ale can never be a Stout, Porter, Bitter, Mild, nor can it be any variety of Lager... Scotch Ale is Scotch Ale.
