North Star just announced on their Facebook page the other day that they are working on a box of Ming Chinese figures for the Osprey Ronin game.

I've got to echo the question on page 1, anyone have any of those 3D Studios Three Kingdoms miniatures?
If the scale fits they'd probably be the most perfect miniatures for some Dynasty Warriors tabletop action that I'll ever see...

I really have no idea what I'm doing.

I think a friend of mine has them and said the scale was a little inconsistentm if it's the models I am thinking of that is. Will ask him to post a size comparison.

Don't worry James, if its more than skirmishing you seek, there should be an interesting project announced before the end of the year.  ;)

I don't know if someone mentioned it before, but I found a new company from Atlanta/USA. They started with a kickstarter and are going to start a range of warring states/mythological miniatures probably around November 2015 to January 2016.

I picked up a few of the Warring Staes figures and they are consistant in size and pretty good quality plastic.  I got them a few years ago and they got lost in the move.  Michtoy used to stock them but I dont know now.  I have a buddy in Shanghai and I'll have him look into availability again.  Ceaser plastics are making Ming, Qing and Han in plastic and either Red Box or Orion do Ming and Korean.  All in 25mm.  Hope this helps??

September 20, 2019 UPDATE:

The Tekumel Project now owns the ex-Forlorn Hope, ex-Cavalcade Wako and Ming Chinese ranges.

Wako are in stock. The moulds for the Ming Chinese are still enroute.

I will post a link when I have them on my blog with pictures. In the meantime, if you would like information, please PM me or email me at:

Awesome! I painted a few Ming up for a Ronin buntai that I ended up never using. :D
