Excellent report, very entertaining. Any chance of some group photos of the forces?
Nice one Rabbitz.
I don't have shots of my highlanders yet (I'm still tweaking them slightly and tartan takes SOOOOO long to paint) but I thought people out there might like to see the walkers.

Armament: 2 side facing gatling guns which may be removed and relocated, 1 artillery piece firing 8" ordinance.

a view showing it against the size of a naval officer on horse
front view with drivers position under artillery piece
rear view at boiler end
crew standing at the ready to repel boarders on the top deck
driver and navigator at the front
different view of the last
a three quarters view which shows the rust effect off. This was supposed to give the ship a well used look after a few years of Martian service where 300 mph sandstorms have long since stripped off the white paintwork...
thee quarters from the front showing gunners position
the business end...if only we'd had a few of these when the Martians invaded...
the underbelly of the beast with air intake and coolant radiator. I like how the rust effect worked on this part best (shame no-one ever sees it...isn't that always the way?)
this shows how top and bottom sections uncouple. I thought I might like to build a different type fuselage but keep the leg unit, or maybe a 'burned out' artillery platform (some hope Rabbitz, you might even dent it next time)
the final pic showing HMMS Gladiator next to HMMS Orca for scale comparison.
Not sure if you want details on the construction of the two models or where I got the bits and pieces. If you'd like to know I'd be happy to oblige. And many thanks again for all the positive comments for our first 28mm outing in VSF!
Cheers
