I'd love to, but it ain't gonna happen unless you guys give me a couple of days.  lol

Edit: I suppose I could reserve the right to a post-expedition final epilogue entry. Nah... That would be cheating.

No. 100  - Jimmy Thesiger, Political Officer, Jaipur

It had been a busy day for Jimmy, before breakfast he’d had to have his punkah-wallah hanged for theft. Then he’d ridden out and put down a local tribal rebellion and taken a bullet in the leg. On the way back to the Residency he'd shot it out with some dacoits who were trying to kidnap the Princess of Jaipur. Then damn me, if a cobra hadn’t bitten his gun-bearer as he sat down to enjoy a bottle of Dom Perignon. With his normal sangfroid and a stiff upper-lip he’d shot the cobra through the eye but it was too late for the bearer. Just another day in the life of a Politico he thought, as he sipped his champagne.......

Apologies for bagging the last slot, very unsporting I know, but I couldn't resist the glory of being number 100!

Well done to everybody, here's to the next one and thank you Plynkes. I personally have learnt a lot on this short journey, feel suitably enthused to carry on in my own minor expedition into the great unknown. Up and at them........

I have to say well done to all involved in this expedition.
Stirring stuff!

This has been the best Painting Club to date, in my opinion, and I dont even game the period.
I want to now.

And so they marched off into fading light and soon there was no more sign of them. Would they find their goal? Would they return? Or would they never be seen again? Who can say? But for now at least it was over, and all those who remained behind could do was wait. No more would be joining the expedition, as they were out of sight, well on their way to who knows where.

Thanks to everybody who took part, both the actual expedition members and those that provided moral support with their comments. Another club done with, and it was glorious, and a pleasure to organize. Thanks again.

And keep an ear out for signals from the talking drums. It may not be long before the next club. But this one is done.  :)
